This article shook me up a little bit. My right brain wants to make everything fit into the perfect design pattern and to engineer the hell out of every piece of code. But my left brain loves hacking to make something the smallest and fastest that it can possibly be. In the art world, clean and well-organized are hardly regarded as virtues.
